This offshore accommodation work barge, delivered in 2008 and constructed at a shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, is a robust and versatile asset for offshore support operations. The vessel is classed by BV (Bureau Veritas) under special service for offshore work.
Measuring 85.34m in LOA and 24.38m in breadth, the barge offers a wide and stable platform for heavy-duty tasks at sea. The depth moulded stands at 4.88m, while the vessel operates with a max draft of 3.77m. With a GRT of 4,132 and an NRT of 1,239, this barge is highly capable in terms of volume and capacity. It boasts an impressive DWT of 4,784T, and its displacement at max draft reaches 7,269T, ensuring it can carry substantial loads without compromising on performance.
The barge features an extensive clear deck area of 6,505 sq. ft., specifically designed to optimize space for cargo and equipment operations. The deck strength is rated at 15T/?, making it suitable for handling heavy offshore gear and machinery without risk of damage to the deck or the cargo.
In terms of machinery, the vessel is powered by three Cummins KTA19-D(M) generators, each providing 504kW @ 1,500 rpm, which translates to a combined power output of 675 HP. These generators are coupled with alternators capable of delivering 400kW AC at 415V, 50Hz in a 3-phase configuration, ensuring reliable power for onboard systems. For emergency scenarios, the vessel is equipped with a Cummins 6CT8-3GM115 emergency generator, providing 108 HP and 125kVA at 400V, 50Hz.
The vessel’s deck equipment includes an 8-point mooring system with four diesel-driven drum waterfall winches, each capable of a 77T line pull. The mooring system is complemented by 16 vertical sheaves, eight fairleaders, and drum capacities of 1,200m for 38mm SWR (steel wire rope), making it suitable for secure anchoring and positioning during operations. The barge carries nine Flipper Delta anchors, each weighing 5,000kg, along with corresponding anchor wires and suitcase buoys for reliable offshore station-keeping.
The barge is outfitted with comprehensive auxiliary equipment to support long-term offshore work. It includes oil-water separators, sewage treatment systems certified for 150 persons, and water-making capabilities of up to 40 m³/day through reverse osmosis units. Additionally, there is extensive air conditioning throughout the vessel, ensuring comfort for the crew in harsh offshore environments.
With accommodation for up to 120 persons, the vessel includes air-conditioned cabins in various configurations, mess and recreation areas, a hospital with a double berth, a gym, and a fully equipped galley. These amenities make it well-suited for extended periods at sea, supporting the crew’s well-being and operational efficiency.
