Very SPECIAL !!! Canadian built version of the Southerly 10.5. AMAZINGLY VERSATILE !! Designed by the renowned Dick Carter and Johann Tanzer.
USCG documented and FL State registered.
Hydraulic lifting keel, draft 3ft. with keel up, completely refitted to "Exploration" specs. The thickness of the bottom of the hull is 1.5 inches. Stored indoors. Hydraulic keel removed and completely rebuilt ($10,000 cost), new hydraulics, full mast lowering system gives 12ft. air draft, hard dodger partially enclosed, full helm seat, teak and aluminium swim platform, radar arch with davits for a light dinghy and solar panel mount. New hatches, seals and salon windows. Aluminium bowsprit with 3 anchors, new 12v windlass that slides port to starboard to service different anchor positions, rode and chain is stored in a recessed deck locker. Presently rigged as a cutter, needs upgraded roller furlers and your personal preferences. Solar shield window and hatch covers.
Very economical Yanmar 3 cylinder turbo diesel with 420 hours, driving a Kanzi transmission and a 2 bladed 19 inch prop. Very economical at less than a quart an hour at 6 knots. Fully soundproofed engine enclosure. Light and airy main salon, full enclosed head with shower, aft cabin with a comfortable roomy double berth.
All new upholstery. inverter, refrigerator, microwave and inverter. New poly water tank. Black water tank. Inside steering reinforced. LED lighting throughout. Massive storage in the cockpit locker and bow cabin. VHF radio. Lowrance chart plotter/depth.
The vessel is USCG documented and FL State registered.

EQUIPMENT LIST AND DETAILS:
2 Anchors with chain/3 strand rode. Anchor windlass - new '22. Slides port to starboard to allow it to pull on any of the three anchor positions. It is used to raise and lower the mast.Solenoids are mounted in the forward cabin.
Chain and rode is stored in a recessed anchor well.
Tabernacle has been raised so the mast is horizontal when it is lowered.All hatches and ports are new, hatches of 1/2" Plexiglass. Salon windows are 1/4" lexan.400+ W of solar in 2 panels, one on top of the wheelhouse roof the other on top of the davits connected to the radar arch. New Renology solar controller to starboard of the companionway. 3000W Renology inverter. Microwave.New 12v Hydraulic power pack to operate the keel. Keel mechanism removed, rebuilt, new shaft and hydraulic cylinder completely rebuilt.
New Whynter 12v compressor top loading refrigerator chest with removable work surface.Stainless stove, Seaward Hillerange Model 2172, thermostat is new.Pressure water system for sinks and shower. Manual foot pumps for fresh and saltwater . Paloma propane water heater. Single deep stainless steel sink.Full engine instruments in the cockpit. Yanmar 3 cylinder Turbo Diesel with Kanzi transmission. Normal stuffing box. 1 inch stainless steel prop shaft, 19 inch 2 blade propeller provides a superbly efficient setup.New 3" exhaust hose.
Inside steering with decent visibility. Lowrance chartplotter/depth sounder mounted at the inside steering position, easily visible from the wheelhouse steering position.VHF with radar arch mounted antenna.3 x 12v heavy duty batteries. Note: All the original teak and holly sole has been removed - presently fiberglass with removeable 3/4 inch plywood panels.
Engine access is very good - 2 sides of the engine compartment are removable - the main access is from the passage that goes through to the aft cabin. New 12v engine oil change pump. Diesel fill is in the cockpit.Huge starboard cockpit locker with 2 x propane tanks and it can hold 6 spare 5 gallon diesel cans + extra equi[ment.
Aft cabin has a roomy and comfortable double berth with storage below, and on shelves that encircle the cabin and also a small locker at the end of the port side settee. One 24 x 24" hatch aft to port.
New lifelines and deck mounted 1/4" stainless safety lines to hook your harness tether onto going forward or working on deck at sea.
A heavy duty aluminium ladder leads down to the aluminium and teak swim platform. The rudder is raised and lowered by a 4 purchase block system.
The radar arch has davits attached and it supports the mast when it is lowered and has a roller so the mast can be rolled forward to enable marina docking with the mast down or for transportation by road. The mast and hull are International Paints "Hatteras White", the upper 1/3 of the mast is safety yellow.
The boat is presently cutter rigged, sails are not new but serviceable. The 2 Harken roller furling units either need replacing or a rebuild as the new owner sees fit.The main sheet is attached to the roof of the wheelhouse.
Navigation lights are on the radar arch, there is no wiring the runs inside the mast. All external flexible conduit used is UV Rated.
As with all Tanzer 10.5's the boat is very, very heavily built, the bottom is 1.5 inches of SOLID fiberglass.
Blackwater tank is aluminium and the new water tank is 40 gallons poly.All pumps are new '22 through '23.
