Designed by Charles Nicholson, Santiano was built by Burnes of Bosham in 1962 and has been in the same ownership for the past 24 years. She has a Yanmar 1GM motor and her mainsail, genoa, working jib, storm jib and spinnaker are all in good condition.
There are four full size berths, galley and chart table, hanging locker and a Baby Blake in the heads.
Her inventory includes the original winches, two anchors, VHF radio, GPS, logs and depth sounder - in fact, all the items needed to go sailing, together with an inflatable dinghy, also in very good condition, and winter covers for the boat and the mast.
Only three owners in her lifetime, she is an easy to sail classic cruiser/racer with great stability and a good turn of speed. SCOD's are ideal for the novice or the more serious yachtsman who wants to go racing.
She is maintained to the highest standards and in excellent condition, quite possibly the best SCOD afloat.
