Description

The LC 8.49 is a new Landing Craft Workboat by the Naval Architect Rick Welin (Canada) specifically developed for commercial operators. The LC8.49 can be built with or without the cabin needing no modifications to the hull. We currently have two cabin options available, a simple Utility Cab and a Medium Sized Cabin. The cabin can also be redesigned to Owner’s requirements, while another option is a simple center-console for those requiring maximum free deck area.

The boat is very strongly built to withstand hard work in serious conditions. The hull is made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy, with a “grillage type” internal structure. The hull can also be supplied with foam collar guards on request .

Bow-door width is 1.78 mt, while max cargo allowable on deck is 2.2 T .

Options include deck crane, lifting davit, side doors, dive bottle racks, tow post, tow line reel, motor guard, and lifting eyes.

Seats, both fixed and folding, can be added.

The Landing Craft can be supplied as a kit for local construction. This includes all alloy parts, cut and ready for assembly and welding.

Engine(s)

Standard power is 2 x gasoline outboards of 200 Hp, for a maximum speed of 40 knots. Standard fuel tank 380 Lt.
